Periodic Table of Heavy Metals - Science meets RAWK!

If they had this sort of scientific table in college Chemistry, I doubt I would have needed that tutor.

Available for sale for a mere $25.  Makes me wish I had a dorm room to hang it in.  Or a finished basement.

I love this.  My only complaint is the legend at the bottom. Some of the blues are too close in value and are difficult to differentiate.  It probably would be easier to discern in its printed, 18x24 inch glory.

Love the symbols - Oz for Black Sabbath!  Mü for Motley Crue!

I don't think I realized there were so many sub-genres of metal.  Are these official or just the designer's take?  Cause I'm not sure if Def Leppard should be with Iron Maiden and not in Glam Metal.  My favorite of course is Glam Metal followed by Alternative, Thrash and Proto (whatever that means).  But some were missing.  No NY Dolls?  No Faith No More?  No Trixter?  No Creed?  They included newer bands like Alterbridge, but no bands like Theory of a Deadman or Seether or Shinedown or Hinder.  And I question the inclusion of some as "metal" bands - Grand Funk Railroad?  And Faster Pussycat just plain sucks. I saw them live in concert so I can say that.

Hmmm..maybe I'll have to make my own.  Add that to the pile o' personal projects.....  ; )  Until then, I've got a whole new list of bands to explore.

Haha that's awesome! My favorite periodic tables are

1. Walter Russel's (Esoteric Scientist) : http://www.meta-synthesis.com/webbook/35_pt/russell_1.gif
2: And the Periodic table of type faces : http://www.squidspot.com/Periodic_Table_of_Typefaces/Wallpapers/PeriodicTable_1680.jpg

I was actually the one who printed out the Periodic Table of Typefaces and pinned it in the 309 Graphics Lab.
